„Svojim projektom, koji su simbolično nazvale Male Voices, Rođenice ponovo ukazuju na određene segmente društvene realnosti, dekonstruišući pritom njihovo značenje koje imaju u srpskoj kulturi. Naime, govoriti o isključivo muškim ili isključivo ženskim pesmama predstavlja jedan opšteprihvaćeni društveni konstrukt, koji opstaje i u savremenoj kulturi. Stoga, preuzimajući i interpretirajući pesme, koje su u tradicionalnoj srpskoj kulturi označene kao „muške pesme“, Rođenice pokazuju da su takva značenja samo plod kulturne konstrukcije, zavisna od određene teritorijalne, temporalne i ideološke premise, te da su podložna dekonstrukciji i interpretaciji na drugačije načine. Ovde iskoračuju iz poželjne performativnosti roda i tako ono što je označeno kao muško, počinju da interpretiraju žene, čime Rođenice jasno apostrofiraju i pokreću pitanje rodnih uloga i rodnih jednakosti u sistemu interpretacije tradicionalne muzike.“ – Miloš Rašić

„With their project, symbolically called Male Voices, Rodjenice again point out certain segments of social reality, deconstructing their meaning in Serbian culture. In fact, to talk about exclusively male or exclusively female songs is a generally accepted social construct, which survives in modern culture. Therefore, by downloading and interpreting poems, which are marked in traditional Serbian culture as "male songs", Rodjenice show that such meanings are only a product of cultural construction, dependent on certain territorial, temporal and ideological premises, and are subject to deconstruction and interpretation in different ways. Here they step out of the desirable gender performativity, and so what is marked as men’s, is now interpreted by women, whereby Rodjenice clearly apostrophize and raise the issue of gender roles and gender equality in the system of traditional music interpretation.“ – Miloš Rašić
